Premier's reading challenge

Welcome to the Premier's Reading Challenge, NSW at OGPS. All students are encouraged to participate in the challenge as a great way to develop a love of reading for leisure, pleasure and learning through quality literature.

Premier's reading challenge

The challenge runs from March to August.  Every student at OGPS is registered online for the Premiers Reading Challenge. Everyone who completes the PRC will receive a commemorative certificate from the Premier.

K-2 children will complete the challenge in class with their teacher and in the library.

Years 3-6 children take ownership of their own reading and are responsible for the borrowing of PRC books from our library, public libraries or finding them in your own book collections at home. Students are required to read 20 books from the booklists, with all readers able to have 5 non-PRC books. Children can keep track of the books they read using their personal reading log but they must be entered online to complete the challenge, please visit the online website to log in.

Students need to log in using their log in name and password. The format for this is first name.last name and the password they use at school. For example jane.smith and password. Once you have logged on, click on the Student Reading Records link on the left menu to add books to your reading log.  If you are having trouble logging in, please see me in the library for help.

PRC book lists as well as all the rules and information  are available on the PRC website. Please see me if you have any difficulties. Good luck everyone! I am sure that all who take on the challenge will find it a fun and rewarding experience
