Our policies and reports

Our policies and reports help families understand how our school works. Our annual report and school plan show what we’ve done and how we’re improving each year.  Our policies address attendance, absences, behaviour, uniform and how we respond to your concerns.

Annual school report

The annual report provides an account of our operations and achievements throughout the year. It is the result of rigorous self-assessment by staff, parents and carers, as well as student leaders.

School Excellence Plan

The  School Excellence Framework  (SEF) underpins our school planning and reporting approach. The framework provides a clear description of the key elements of high-quality practice across learning, teaching and leading and has supported our school in developing a School Excellence Plan (SEP) in consultation with our community.

The SEP is a working document that details the steps our school will take to improve learning outcomes, and the achievement and growth of all students. It demonstrates our commitment to excellence in public education in NSW and our dedication to making a meaningful difference to the ongoing growth and development of our students.

To ensure continuous improvement, the SEP reflects where our school is at and how it will further improve learning, teaching and leading.

We are currently developing our new school plan.  Our previous school plan is below:

School behaviour support and management plan

Orange Grove Public School is committed to explicitly teaching and modelling positive behaviour and supporting all students to engage successfully in their learning. Our approach is grounded in creating a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment where students are supported to develop positive social behaviours and strong self-regulation skills through a range of key programs, frameworks and initiatives prioritised and valued by the school community.

Like all NSW public schools, we provide safe learning and teaching environments to encourage healthy, happy, successful and productive students.

The department is committed to creating quality learning opportunities for children and young people. These opportunities support wellbeing through positive and respectful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging to the school and community.

The  Wellbeing Framework for Schools  helps schools support the cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of students and allows them to connect, succeed and thrive throughout their education.

Key programs, frameworks and initiatives prioritised and valued by the school community include:
